Friday, January 30th, 2009

Copenhagen – More than 98 percent of Windows computers vulnerable to the cyber criminals because it contains at least 1 application that is not in the patch. In fact, nearly 50 percent of computers have 11 or more programs that affected the risk cyber attacks. That is quite surprising that the statistics cited security bureau based in Copenhagen, Secunia. Secunia revealed the data based on utility-based research through the Personal Software Inspector (PSI) that are installed in the consumer computer.

Apple Mac Users are Requested to Use Anti Virus

Sunday, January 25th, 2009

Operating System Mac OS X often considered quite safe from malicious hack programs. However, it seems, Mac users now need to increase the security. This has not been long, at the Apple support site, Apple recommends the consumers using the Mac more than one antivirus application to be more secure. Quoted from detikINET, Apple gave three options for the recommended anti-virus, ie, Intego VirusBarrier x5, McAfee VirusScan for Mac, and Symantec Norton Anti-Virus 11 for Macintosh.

During this time, Mac OS X is more secure rather than Windows. One reason is because the virus spread the virus with the benefit of Windows that is used by more users.

However, over time, Microsoft Windows market trends show a decrease in the Mac and vice versa. According to Net Applications, in 2004 the market share reached 96.36 percent of the Windows and Mac reached 3.25 percent.

Blue-Ray Technology

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

New technology is now making it doable for audience to publish and keep high definition programming against DVDs. Blu-ray album is one routine of publishing HD content against an optical album. A cobalt-laser optical album (MPEG-2 or MPEG-4) is worn. Systems that use this technology will be able to play traditional DVDs, but the goal of Blu-ray is to make an likeness that’s as close to the HD design as doable. The name Blu-ray comes from the cobalt laser that decodes and copies indesignion to each diskette. Blu-ray technology may very well revolutionize the world of high definition programming. The Blu-ray album design offers better ability for storeroom, regularly 25 gigabytes, which exceeds that of a orthodox DVD (15 gigabytes). One distinct-layer Blu-ray diskette can imprison about four hours of high definition content. A two-layer diskette can surround eight hours of HD content. Four- and eight-layer diskettes are now in the mechanism. These diskettes would have storeroom capabilities of 100 and 200 gigabytes. The Blu-ray publishing approach operates a shorter waveduration for publishing indesignion than traditional CDs and DVDs, and this is part of what allows it to imprison more content on a distinct diskette.

Blu-ray has also influenced the notebook trade, specifically in provisos of figures storeroom capability. A number of main companies have come out in carry of Blu-ray, counting Apple, hollow, Hitachi, prepare, and Sony. Hewlett Packard policy to souk desktop notebooks and laptops that operate Blu-ray technology. Sony has announced that it will launch a Blu-ray section in PlayStation 3, which is projected to grow in November of this year. Microsoft has also said that it may add a Blu-ray section to its Xbox 360. presently, Blu-ray is only vacant in Japan, but it will grow in the United States in May, in cartridge playoffs and a DVD approach that remakes a high definition upshot on a viewer’s TV.
