IMF 'Attacked' by Cyber Criminal

Washington – reported cyber criminals make a random computer system of the world financial body, the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Attack occurs when the role of IMF votes needed in the very middle of the economic crisis is now global. As quoted from detikINET, invasive cracker makes computer systems at IMF forced off in a few days. However, doesn’t know whether there is important information that successfully stolen.

That evil attack is feared to disrupt the activities of IMF, together with the World Bank, expected to improve the economic situation of the global recession.

There is a cyber invasion shows a computer system that relied increasingly global financial institutions vulnerable penetrated. In fact a lot of sensitive information in the IMF computer network, such as the central bank balance sheet in the world.

“Security electronic financial sector is in danger of frightening. Financial sector is the most so the target (red cyber-criminals),” so claims a former security official of the World Bank, Tom Kellerman.

Kellerman is now serving as a member of Commission on Cyber Security for the 44th Presidency, the unit’s president elect Barack Obama in the United States to protect computer systems against cyber attacks.

As the IMF itself denies that their computer system had been as a result of cyber attacks. They also stressed that no financial information is stolen.

“I do not know if there are big consequences, but the addition of security systems have been done,” said IMF spokesman, Bill Murray.
